Yes I’ve said it… Feedburner Sucks!
I find their site to be unreliable, and I’ve come to doubt the reliability of their information…
For those who don’t know, Feedburner is a site that is supposed to watch your RSS feed (the feed that lets you subscribe to this blog) and let you know when somebody subscribes to your site. It’s a way for you to get an idea of how many people are reading your site on a regular basis…
The idea seems great, but I find their execution to be pretty piss poor…
For starters, it’s really hard to get a site registered with Feedburner when you can’t even get to their site…
When I can actually get to the site I’ve discovered that for reasons completely unknown to mere mortals like myself that Feedburn has dumped the few subscribers I had… I know that they didn’t usubscribe because I subcribe to one of my own feeds…
So yes, Feedburner sucks!

Hi,
Actually, to see what might be happening here, there’s a point to note.
Feedburner will track subscribers to your feedburner feed. Given that it was created only yesterday, it might take some time to get folks to subscribe to your feedburner feed.
Regarding existing subscribers to the feed hosted on your site, what publishers usually do to track their existing subscribers is to redirect their old feed url to their feedburner feed. That way as your existing subscribers make requests for your feed, they’ll be redirected to your feedburner feed which we can track as well. Thus your tracking all your subscribers. Without that redirect to our feed, there is not way for us to obtain statistical information for the feed that is hosted and requested from your site directly.
Here’s a quick post about this exact question:http://forums.feedburner.com/viewtopic.php?t=3496&highlight=existing+redirect
I hope this makes sense and clears things up about your existing subscribers.
In any case, we have actively monitored forums (http://forums.feedburner.com) and feedback email (feedback@feedburner.com). Feel free to send us a note if you have any concerns. Hopefully, we can clear up any issues and you’ll find that we don’t suck
Thanks,
jessie chavez

Ok, I’m very impressed that you guys paid I visit when you saw I was upset…
Although while I’m having issues with this site, I’m more upset with the issues I’m having on another site…
The other site has been up on feedburner for several months now, and feedburner has dumped on me twice now in just two months now. I’ve had to completely delete the feed and restore it in order to get it back up.
This site has actually been up since Sunday and went into feedburner just hours after it went live… However, I’ve already had to delete the original feed and try again because 24 hours after feedburner recognized it, feedburner stopped recognizing it…
I’ll go poking through your forums… But I’m still frustrated that this is an issue…
