I know there’s some broken things on this new theme. I’m slowly going to make my way through everything and get it fixed…

John Hodgman on The Daily Show clears it up better than me…

It’s not as good as Senator Ted Stevens explaining to us that the internet is a series of tubes though…

MSNBC and Business Week are reporting that in response to statistics that fatalities on two wheeled vehicles are up 18% last year that Piaggio, the parent company of Vespa is coming out with a new scooter-

Feast your eyes on the MP-3 which should be available in January-

The image comes from the Business Week site. The thought is that three wheels will be safer than two… What I can’t figure out from the article is whether or not this beast will be released as a Piaggio or a Vespa… (My vote is Piaggio).  Don’t ask me why, but for some reason the MP-3 reminds me of an Ewok from Star Wars.
I’m more interested in the prototype of a hybrid Vespa.

Supposedly this prototype Vespa uses 20% less gas but has 25% more power than the average gas powered scooter engine.

Excerpted from a post to an un-named blog regarding their migration to a new platform:

“If you find yourself unable to comment, or you see images broken on new entries, or any other problem not related to my own writing, please send a friendly and informative e-mail to tips@blahblahblah. Include the names of your browser and OS, and use the word “please” where you would normally use the word “fuck.”"

So, I went to take out the trash yesterday and based on what I saw I had to ask the following:

Which is more redneck, letting your 3 year old run around outside in a t-shirt and their underpants? Or letting your two year old run around outside in a diaper and their t-shirt?

Not that I’ve ever been real hip to the idea of letting my kid run around outside pantsless in the first place, but it seems to be in especially poor taste when you let your 3 and a half year old run around outside pantsless… Maybe I’m just a snob that way…

Now, we don’t exactly live out in the back woods or anything like that… Yes, it is a bit rural here, and there’s at least one cattle ranch less than 3 miles from our house, but we’re also in a community that’s just on the outskirts of the downtown of a community of several thousand.

Which leads me to our next door neighbors…

Just an update to my earlier posts bitching about the logistics and supply people I have to deal with.

I actually got one of the items that I’ve been waiting MONTHS for! It showed up yesterday… Mind you I ordered three of these and only one showed up… But hey, baby steps. Besides only one was for my desk, the other two were headed elsewhere in the office… and well since I got mine I’m satisfied :)

So after getting a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Networking, plus all of the work I’ve done with computers in the years leading up to my return to school combined with what I’m doing now a days, I kind of figured that I had a halfway decent understanding about how this ole internets like thingy worked…

After watching this it appears that I had it all wrong, not only do I now have a better understanding of how the web works, but I also know how to clear those pesky bandwidth issues too! ;)

So it appears that the ABC station in Chicago has a new scooter… Either that or their reporter Tracy Butler, just bought a new scooter ;)

Ok, well that statement pretty much sums up my morning…  Thanks for visiting today!  Don’t forget to tip the wait staff! :D

Oh, you want to know about the bizarreness that was my morning…  Well, this morning a few dozen of our students got a pop quiz…  That’s right, urinalysis testing, and I was one of the poor slobs who had to observe the entire festivities…  Yes, I had to watch the boys pee…

Wow, talk about excitement eh.  I don’t remember any other time in my life where I stood in a restroom and watched an 18 year old stand in front of a urinal moaning “oh please god come on!  There’s got to be more in there!” and “I swear I had to pee a minute ago!”

Don’t you just wish you had my job?

Tonight I get to babysit a dorm full of 18 to 22 year olds and hopefully keep them from being stupid…
