It took a bit, but we’re now the proud owner’s of a Nintendo Wii! :D While there were more Wii’s around than PS3’s if you’ve been trying to find one for the past two months it’s been a bit of a challenge. However one of the Wii watching sites indicated that all of the Target’s in our area were expecting 10 of them.
So I forgo sleeping late, pack up the boy… because the wife is in Florida getting ready to take a cruise (and oh I’m not the least bit bitter or jealous, oh no, not me!
) and head off to get in to Target when they open at 8 AM. We waited in line for 20 minutes outside the store with 20 or so other people, and I wondered if this was a good plan. Our sources said 10 Wii’s and there were clearly more than 10 people in front of us, and somehow I had to convince a 3 and a half year old to behave waiting in line outside of a Target for 20 minutes.
About the time that I was starting the reconsider this plan the security guard announces that we shouldn’t worry, there were twice as many Wii’s than people in line. As a result, they didn’t want us running through the store, and more importantly… we’d all get one! WooHoo!
So far I’ve only played a few of the games that are part of Wii Sports; Tennis, Bowling, and Golf. Tennis is pretty cool and so is Bowling, but I’m not a big fan of Golf. Heck on the Bowling game I actually had a 200 game, now I’d really be excited if I had a 200 game in real life…
At some point I’ll head out and pick up Rampage; Total Destruction because the coin-op version of Rampage is one of my all time favorite games, but until then…Â free bowling!
