Man, that's not fair - some people don't pay taxes - call the Dems and complain! If you're giving it to people who didn't pay it, it's not a rebate - call it something else please! And you'd be amazed at how people will spend that money - when I worked in retail jewelry, we would have moms and dads with tiny needy kids come in to figure out how to buy both mom and dad fancy-schmancy jewelry rather than buy themselves or their kids some much-needed clothing, or perhaps deodorant.
